Welcome to the Training Department of Serbia & Montenegro vACC. Our team of Training Instructors will help every new member to get required knowledge for providing ATC on VATSIM network. Meet the team of Training Instructors: As Training Director, Nenad Grubanović is available for any question about aviation. In cooperation with Darko, he will organize training sessions and practical exams for all members who want to upgrade rating. We are available for all questions about Air Traffic Control. We also organize practical trainings for Aerodrome Control at Beograd airport (LYBE). Working together with us on frequency every new member, interested for ATC, will learn a lot of things, and he will become ready for practical exam as soon as possible. As SCGvACC director, Darko Pajić will organize practical exams in cooperation with Nenad. He is also available for most of question about aviation so feel free contact him, too. Let’s get started! First at all, you should know that Training Instructors will help you as much as they can, but they can not do everything for you. Every new member should work hard if he wants to get required knowledge to become controller. VATEUD has made fantastic theoretical Training Department. For great theoretical base every new member is compulsory to study whole VATEUD TD very carefully. This way one will enter practical trainings with good theoretical base. Member who don’t have theoretical base is unsutable for practical trainings. Except VATEUD TD, every new member should join our FORUM. There you can find many useful topics about controlling and flying. Most of these topics are written on Serbian language for better and easier understanding. It is also highly recommended to read “Pilot Handbook” made by Damir Nozica (colleague from Croatia vACC). This document is written on Croatian language, so it is also convenient for better and easier understanding. New members are also compulsory to carefully study manual for ASRC (Advanced Simulated Radar Client) or VRC (Virtal Rada Client) before starting practical trainings. All software and proper manuals can be found at Download section. After you have carefully studied all these materials, you may be sure that you get great theoretical base. After that in cooperation with Darko and Nenad practical trainings will be organized, until you become ready for your first own ATC. Important note for new pilots: Every new pilot has to have experience with flying Flight Simulator offline (take off, climb, fly level maintaining altitude, descent, land, making left and right turns maintaining speed and heading). You should know that our Training Department is not school of basic flying. It is considered that all of you pilots joining SCGvACC know to fly offline. Here, our instructors will teach you flying on the highest level, close to the real life. You will learn about proper communication with ATC, proper following instructions provided by ATC, high level navigation…in one sentence “as real as it gets” in real world. We decided to put here two important rules. One is for Pilots, and one is for Controllers. You will probably find this rules looking through VATEUD-TD and Pilot Handbook, but due very big importance of this two rules, you should read them just now. 1) Every pilot should never connect at the VATSIM network while he is on the Runway, Holding Position or Taxiway. It is compulsory to put your aircraft on the Apron before you connect to the network. Also, the slew mode is not approved when you online. Pausing the Flight Simulator while in flight is also prohibited. 2) Every ATC should keep ATIS no more than 4 lines long, with suggested 3 lines. This way you will prevent eventual network problems. For any questions feel free to contact some of our Training Instructors. Additional information included in Training Department you may find at our FORUM (in Serbian language ONLY). |
